The Plymouth Illustration Awards
recognise and platform outstanding illustration from within the UK, run by BA (Hons) Illustration at Arts University Plymouth.

The first annual award is open for entries from November 2025.
The deadline for submissions is midnight, 1st March 2026.


How to enter

The Plymouth Illustration Awards accepts entries via a Google Form online. There is no entry fee. Please see full terms here.

There are three awards open for entries:  

Emerging
Talent
Award

For anyone over 16 and not yet studying a degree.

Grand prize: £200

Student
Illustration
Award

For anyone over 18 and currently studying a degree.

Grand prize: £200

Graduate
Illustration
Award

For anyone who completed a degree in the last 3 years.

Grand prize: £200

Shortlisted entries for all awards will be exhibited online.
Further prizes, sponsors, and guest judges to be announced.



Timeline 

  • November 2025: Awards open for entries
  • From Nov ‘25: Judges and additional prizes announced
  • 1st March 2026: Deadline for entries
  • March 2026: Judging for shortlist
  • Late March 2026: Shortlist announced & featured online
  • March / April ‘26: Secret (To be announced)
  • April 2026: Judging for winners
  • April/May 2026: Winners Announced

The Plymouth Illustration Awards are run by BA (Hons) Illustration at Arts University Plymouth, organised by joint Course Leaders Ben Wright and Sam Rowe. The awards were established in 2025 and run annually – with entries welcomed from across the UK.
